ORIGIN.

Hamburg’s Reeperbahn has always been a tourist magnet with its nightlife. But locals have been complaining for quite some time about a lack of reliably good events and clubs. The effects of COVID-19 have made the situation even worse and in the wake of historic losses, many clubs and bars have been brought to their knees. Party series were cancelled, many circles of friends shrank immensely and opportunities to make new contacts were minimized. These problems became the main driving forces behind the creation of Come & Groove, an event series that aims to create a space for connections.

WHO WE ARE.

Come & Groove offers a lovingly curated selection of genres from House, UK Funk, and Disco, to R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats and Amapiano. Additionally, it is opening up new spaces for music enthusiasts and party lovers where they can share their creativity and joy of life.

We are proud to offer a platform to local artists who have struggled in recent years. Together with nationally known artists, they finally get the attention they deserve. The musical and artistic freedom of the DJs is essential at our events. They should feel free and be able to develop.

Come & Groove takes place at various locations and this flexibility is important to us. The diverse community continues to evolve from event to event and is our greatest motivation to dare new things and to push forward with ever more extensive events. For us, it is obvious how great the need for a new perspective is – we are here to change Hamburg’s nightlife.

VISION.

Our community stands for openness, tolerance, and diversity. We want to continue to offer a space where people can come together and be inspired by each other. A place where you can forget the worries of everyday life.

Last year we held a number of different events – although the clubs were still closed at the beginning of the year due to COVID-19. Many of our events were open to the public without an entrance fee – a model we want to build on in these difficult times. Nightlife provides a retreat for many, and we have made it our mission to preserve this. For us, dancing on the dancefloor is a basic need that everyone should have access to. Financial exclusivity limits the potential for inspiration enormously and hinders the free development of musical events.

We do not define ourselves as a party series, but as a movement that connects different cultures and tastes. That’s why we aim to make every event unique and always provide something new.
